Little White Lies: Dune

- A first journal that I picked out of the CSM library for my research was entitled: Little White Lies. It is a movie analysis magazine that goes over the creation process of specific movies. In this case the issue I chose analysed and advertised Tom Huddleston's new sensation: Dune.

- This magazine could be useful for me because of the diverse styles of illustration used which I found inspiring for my own works. Furthermore it gave me a clearer understanding of the filmmaking process and how to move from storyboard to reality.

- There are sadly no digital versions of this magazine but they can be ordered on the journal's website.

Gut:

Germany, Costume, Sex, Demons and Halloween

- Another magazine that caught my eye was Gut, a London based art magazine made by Ami Evelyn Hughes. It focuses on raw, sexual and unconventional shots to showcase a more primal side of humans.

- I think this could be useful for me in the future for photography projects but not really for graphic design or this project. I still wanted to put it in my research because I found the early 2000s style that the magazine uses very intriguing and hope to use it for later references.

- There are no digital versions of the issue although there is a website.

Kuti:

Remix 60

- Kuti is a Finnish comic magazine composed of several tabloids submitted by various illustrators and artists around the world. It focuses on drawings and does not advertise any sort of political or religious ideas.

- I particularly liked the format of Kuti and the diverse art styles. It gave me the idea to maybe try making a comic book for a future project or even in my own time.

- There are no digital versions.
